Dina Marie Hale is a faith-based speaker, personality and emcee. She is an adult convert to Catholicism. She was raised Lutheran but from high school to post college attended no church and was living a secular life. While living in Tillamook, OR she became a member of the Unity Church in Manzanita and was exposed to New Age teachings. It was in her search for purpose and meaning in life and a desire to get to know God again that she eventually met many Christian leaders in the Tillamook County area and met Father John Henderson who challenged her to learn more about Catholicism and participate in the RCIA program. That was the challenge she needed and on Easter Vigil 1999 at Sacred Heart Parish in Tillamook, OR Dina Marie was welcomed fully into the Roman Catholic Church. Only one year later she began working for Catholic Radio KBVM (Mater Dei Radio). She continued in Catholic Radio as a morning show host and program director from 2000 – 2018. In the Spring of 2018 she followed a deep call within her heart to step out into the deep and listen to where Christ was calling her next.
Today, Dina Marie is freelancing for God with the mission of using her gifts to enrich the lives of others by fostering a deeper desire to know, love and serve Jesus Christ. As a messenger of the Gospel she collaborates on meaningful projects that inform, inspire and ignite the hearts and minds of others leading them to seek truth and beauty in God.
One exciting project for Dina Marie was to work with Shalom World as a TV host for the vocation series called “Vowed” where she hosted three 25-minute shows with the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows at St. Clare Retreat House in Santa Cruz, CA. Starting in 2007 Dina Marie and her husband Rob joined a small group of lay men and women to found the Annual Rosary Bowl NW event in Salem www.rosarybowlnw.org. She serves as emcee of the event as well as webmaster, event coordinator and all around “do what needs to be done” volunteer.
A Communications Graduate from Lewis and Clark College in Portland (1991) and graduate of Gresham Union High School (1987) Dina Marie is a shining example of how God writes straight with crooked lines. Married to her husband Rob (a Catholic Convert in 2000), Dina Marie has two adult stepdaughters and three very active grandchildren who all love to pick blueberries in “Grandma Dina’s” front yard.
