New Opportunities for this Spring and Summer, highlights opportunities for you to refresh your spiritual life. These opportunities include a significant Day of Renewal where participants will look in depth at the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives and how the Spirit is leading us to Jesus Christ. Other opportunities include a Lenten Retreat and two Healing Masses.
Day of Renewal:

The beautiful mural on the wall of the Old Madeline Church event room (shown above) is the backdrop for our next Day of Renewal. It is scheduled for May 31, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Theme: “Encountering Jesus through the Power of the Holy Spirit”.
We invite all who want to learn more about the Holy Spirit and how the Spirit leads each of us to Jesus Christ.
The WOCCR Team is really looking forward to this Day of Renewal. Our goal is to help the participants attain a deeper relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit. The main focus will be on viewing a series of five of Fr. Dave Pivonka’s videos on the Holy Spirit. After each of these video’s we will have short study sheets and small discussion groups. There will also be time to talk to others about what you’ve learned and a time to network/visit.
Moderator: Fr. Chuck Wood, our Archdiocesan Liaison and Pastor of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Portland, OR, will be our moderator.
Preregistration: Ticket sales will be available through our website, www.woccr.org, beginning April 10, 2025. The cost is $20.00 per individual ticket. Admission will be Free for Priests, Deacons or Religious and children age 12 and younger. You may also register at the door, if there are any tickets available.
Please note that space is limited to 150 people.
Beginning: Doors will open 8:00 a.m. Praise and Worship begins at 8:30 a.m. We will be offering coffee, water, and snacks in the morning. The Main entrance is at 3240 NE 23 Avenue. There is a handicap entrance at 3123 NE 24 Avenue.

Jubilee Year Pilgrimage to the Grotto
What is a Jubilee Year?
A Jubilee Year is a special time in the Church’s tradition encouraging holiness through acts of reconciliation and communion with our brothers and sisters. Jubilee Year 2025 will be marked by special opportunities for grace through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, local pilgrimages and the Jubilee Indulgence. The theme is “Pilgrims of Hope”.
The Grotto Designated a Pilgrimage Site
The National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother (The Grotto) has been designated as a Jubilee pilgrimage site by Archbishop Alexander K. Sample. The Grotto invites everyone from around the world to celebrate the Year of Hope at The Grotto.

Lenten Retreat at the Grotto:
Register today for the Lenten Day Retreat at The Grotto with Dina Marie and Faith Moments™ on Friday, April 4, 2025. This retreat includes: three conference talks by Dina Marie Hale, Founder of FAITH MOMENTS™️; small group discussions; Mass in the Chapel of Mary; Confession; and time to explore The Grotto grounds; Stations of the Cross; and gift shop.

Healing Masses:
- There will be a Healing Mass at St Juan Diego Catholic Church on Monday, July 14, 2025. It will be celebrated by Fr. Hans from India. ShalomWorld Ministries will be sponsoring this opportunity. The Church is located at 5995 NW 178th Ave, Portland , OR.
- Sandy Dinius and her prayer group are sponsoring a Healing Mass in Central Point, OR, given by ShalomWorld Ministries and WOCCR on July 18, 2025. Mass begins at 6:30 p.m. Our Archdiocesan Liaison, Fr. Chuck Wood and Fr. Hayden Williams from Italy will concelebrate Mass at Shephard of the Valley Catholic Church in Central Point.
