Updates — April 2025 provides new information on opportunities for you to refresh your spiritual life. These opportunities include a significant Day of Renewal where participants will look in depth at the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives and how the Spirit is leading us to Jesus Christ. Other opportunities include a Lenten Retreat and two Healing Masses.
Day of Renewal — Saturday, May 31, 2025

Good News! Our registration portal for this Day of Reflection is now open.
To register online, go to woccr.org. There is a link at the top right side of the Home page. Click on that link. It will take you to the event page. Scroll down to “Tickets”.
If have a copy of the event flyer, you can scan the QR code at the bottom of the flyer, with your cell phone. It will take you directly to the event information and registration page on the website. Scroll down to “Tickets”.
You will receive a receipt and a ticket to the event, via email. Please bring the ticket with you. You will need it to enter.
Theme: “Encountering Jesus through the Power of the Holy Spirit”.
We invite all who want to learn more about the Holy Spirit and how the Spirit leads each of us to Jesus Christ.
The WOCCR Team is really looking forward to this Day of Renewal. Our goal is to help the participants attain a deeper relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit.
We will be watching five of Fr. Dave Pivonka’s videos on the Holy Spirit (Note: Fr. Pivonka is the President of Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH). We will use short study sheets and have small discussion groups after each video (Note: if you are uncomfortable with small groups, no worries, you don’t have to participate). It will be a time to talk to others about what you’ve learned and a time to network/visit .
Moderator: Fr. Chuck Wood, our Archdiocesan Liaison and Pastor of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Portland, OR, will be our moderator.
Preregistration: Ticket sales will be available through our website, www.woccr.org. The cost is $20.00 per individual ticket. Admission is Free for Priests, Deacons or Religious. Space is limited to 120 participants. You may also register at the door, if there are any tickets still available.
Please note that space is limited to 120 people.
Accessibility: There is a handicap entrance at 3123 NE 24th. Go through the door and straight to the other side of the room. The elevator is on your right next to the stairs. Go up one floor.
Beginning: Doors will open 8:00 a.m. Praise and Worship begins at 8:30 a.m.
Refreshments: We will be offering coffee, water, and snacks in the morning. The Main entrance is at 3240 NE 23 Ave. There is a handicap entrance at 3123 NE 24 Avenue.

Follow-up: We will be offering a follow-up mini conference in June to discuss the material viewed on May 31. The time and place will be announced, as information becomes available.
Living a Life in the Spirit Retreat — Friday, June 6 to Saturday, June 7, 2025
Fr. Theodore Lange present a Living a Life in the Spirit Retreat at St Rita’s Retreat Center in Gold Hill, OR on June 6-7, 2025
Join us on this Pentecost weekend for an overnight at the peaceful grounds of St. Rita’s. Fr. Lange and lay ministers from the Shepherds Prayer Group are offering a weekend of talks, sharing, praise and worship, Mass and personal prayer.
Theme: “Living a Life in the Spirit”.
Time: Friday, June 6th from 3:00 p.m. to Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
Cost: A Private Room is $150.00. A Shared Room is $120.00 and the Commuter is $75.00.

Healing Masses:
St Juan Diego Church — Monday, July 14, 2025
There will be a Healing Mass at St Juan Diego Church celebrated by Fr. Hayden Williams. Fr Hayden is a Capuchin Friar Minor from Malta who lives at the Franciscan Hermitage of Le Celle in Cortona, Italy and ministers as an itinerant preacher of the Gospel. Shalom World Ministries will be sponsoring this opportunity of grace. The church is located at: 5995 NW 178th Ave , Portland , OR. It will begin with the Divine Mercy Chaplet from 5:45 p.m. with Mass beginning at 6:00 p.m

Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church — Friday, July 18, 2025
Sandy Dinius and the Shepherds Prayer Group are sponsoring a Healing Mass in Central Point, OR, given by ShalomWorld Ministries and WOCCR. Mass will begin at 6:30 p.m. Our Liaison, Fr. 51st Annual Catholic Summer Institute — Sunday July 13 to Friday, July 18, 2025
This retreat begins with dinner on Sunday evening, July 13. The conference begins on July 14, and concludes after lunch on Friday, July 18, 2025.
Retreat for Residents include Daily Mass & Holy Hour, Morning Prayer, 14 Classes, four Evening Lectures, all meals, private room, time for confession and spiritual direction and more.
