An Advent Day Retreat is planed for December 6th at Our Lady of Peace Retreat House, Beaverton, OR.The retreat master is Fr. Christopher Bernabe. He was ordained in 2014 for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe in New Mexico, and now serves as the parochial vicar of St. Steven's Catholic Church in SE Portland where he is seeking to live in a community of priests under a common rule of life. Fr. Bernabe obtained secular degrees in Psychology & Political Science from the University of New Mexico before studying at Mt. Angel Seminary in Oregon, the Pontifical North American College, and The Pontifical University of St. Thomas in Rome, where he earned an STB focusing on Mystical Theology. An experienced retreat master, director, and speaker -- having led missions, days of reflection, Theology on Taps, and conferences for the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, the Legion of Mary, and many Catholic parishes and organizations

The Equip the Holy Ones for the Work of Ministry session will be presented by Fr. Jim Northrop. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
The “Life with the Holy Spirit Retreat” is designed to take place on a Saturday. The retreat consists of a series of teachings, personal testimonies, small group discussion, and prayer. Each session builds upon the preceding session. The format we use has been developed by The Word of God Community in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and endorsed by the Most Reverend Sam G. Jacobs, Bishop Emeritus of Houma-Thibodeau.

The Archdiocese of Portland is collaborating with the John Paul II Healing Center to offer a “Healing the Whole Person” conference, Thursday and Friday evenings and all-day Saturday. Fr. Chuck Wood, the Archdiocesan Liaison for Charismatic Renewal, is on the Core "Prayer and Planning" Team for these events.
The Pentecost Novena is the first of all novenas, nine days of prayer. After Jesus’ Ascension into heaven, He commanded His disciples to come together in the upper room to devote themselves to constant prayer (Acts 1: 14). They prayed for nine days before receiving the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.
